Short answer: we rated this spread highly when we ate our way through a jar — proper roasted-peanut flavour with the chocolate supporting rather than smothering it — but MyProtein no longer lists a Chocolate Peanut Butter spread in its UK range (checked 6 July 2026). If that’s what you came to buy, the closest current options are below.

What’s in MyProtein’s spreads range now

MyProtein spreads (UK)Price — checked 6 July 2026
Choc Nut Butter£7.99
All-Natural Peanut Butter£7.99
Powdered Peanut Butter£8.99 (listed as reduced from £10.99)

Choc Nut Butter is the spiritual successor — a chocolate nut-butter blend at the same price point. The do-it-yourself route is All-Natural Peanut Butter with a spoonful of cocoa stirred in, which lands remarkably close to the discontinued jar and lets you control the sweetness.

How it tasted

The jar earned its following. Opening it hit you with roasted peanuts first and chocolate second — the right order. The texture stayed creamy without turning oily or splitting, which cheaper chocolate spreads reliably do, and it behaved itself whether you spread it on toast, stirred it into porridge or ate it off the spoon.

The balance was the real achievement: sweet enough to feel like a treat, never cloying, with the peanut flavour doing the heavy lifting. Most chocolate-nut spreads get that backwards. If Choc Nut Butter inherits that balance, it’ll deserve the same following — we’ll say so once we’ve emptied a jar.

The nutrition, honestly

Peanut-based spreads are mostly fat by weight — that’s what makes them delicious — so read any “protein spread” as nut butter with benefits, not as a rival to a shake. Per spoonful you’re buying flavour and satiety, with the protein as a bonus. MyProtein publishes full per-100g panels on every spread product page; check the jar you’re actually buying and budget it into your fats for the day.

If you’re optimising for protein per calorie, a whey shake beats any spread without breaking a sweat — the spread’s job is making the rest of your food more interesting.

The name-twin: the whey flavour

MyProtein has also sold Chocolate Peanut Butter as an Impact Whey flavour — a different product that scored 4/5 in our taste tests: good smell, slightly creamy, and the sensible choice if you want the peanut-butter hit without nut-butter calories. Its availability rotates like the rest of the range; our flavour rankings track what’s actually on the UK list.

Worth it?

The spread was an easy recommendation while it existed, and nothing in the current range argues against the same logic: at £7.99 (checked 6 July 2026), MyProtein’s spreads are priced like supermarket premium nut butters, and a discount code usually undercuts them. Start with Choc Nut Butter if chocolate-peanut is the point; go All-Natural + cocoa if you’d rather control the recipe.

Frequently asked questions

Is MyProtein Chocolate Peanut Butter still available?

Not in the UK as of 6 July 2026 — MyProtein's spreads range currently lists Choc Nut Butter (£7.99), All-Natural Peanut Butter (£7.99) and Powdered Peanut Butter (£8.99), with no chocolate peanut butter spread among them. Ranges rotate, so it may return; the spreads category is the place to check.

What's the closest replacement?

Choc Nut Butter (£7.99, checked 6 July 2026) is the nearest thing in MyProtein's current range — a chocolate nut-butter blend. The purist's route is All-Natural Peanut Butter plus a spoon of cocoa, which gets you very close to what we reviewed.

Is this the same as the Chocolate Peanut Butter whey flavour?

No — MyProtein has used the Chocolate Peanut Butter name on two different products: this spread and an Impact Whey flavour. The whey flavour scored 4/5 in our taste tests; our MyProtein flavour rankings cover it and its availability.

Are protein spreads actually healthy?

Treat them as flavoured nut butter, not as a protein supplement: like all peanut-based spreads they're mostly fat by weight, so the protein comes with plenty of calories. Check the per-100g panel on whichever jar you buy and count it as part of your fats for the day.
